Micah - Founder | Instructor
Micah had the opportunity to spend his childhood outdoors from family trips to Montana as a child to exploring the vast geography of Southern California, he grew to love the outdoors and the wild. Before enlisting in the USAF in 2010 he met his wife and has joined him every step of the way. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape (SERE) Specialist for 12 years and Combat Aviation Advisor (CAA) for 2. In 2021 they decided to call Niceville Florida home and began to transition out of the military.
With a lifetime of outdoor experience, and over a decade of skilled survival training and expertise, he set his sights on bringing these skills to the community. This is when Six Point Survival was born. Having a passion for teaching and outdoors, he brought his military experience to his community and is now passionate about growing, making these skills and experiences available to everyone.
When he isn't teaching class, you can find him at home in his garden, with his chickens, or hanging out at the beach with his family. Micah is a passionate reader and enjoys learning most of all. For fun he practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, goes to the gym, paddle boards, skydives, and SCUBA dives. Playing board games with family and friends when he can is also a family favorite. Lastly he hosts a podcast on locals called The Emerald Coast Essentials Podcast and works as a part time Realtor.
Meet Our Team

Courtnie - Owner |
Events Coordinator
A homeschool mama, partner, and wife of Micah, the founder of Six Point Survival, Courtnie is dedicated to raising a wild, free, nature-loving daughter and building a life rooted in connection, resilience, and intentional living.
Courtnie holds a business degree from Texas A&M University, is a 200HR registered yoga instructor, and is currently completing a Master's degree in Integrative Health and Wellness, with a focus on herbalism. She will graduate with honors in April 2026 and has been nominated for Outstanding Graduate (final determination pending). Her approach to survival and wellness blends practical skill-building with mindfulness, traditional plant knowledge, and modern integrative health principles.
Her love for nature and grounding practices has shaped her journey into outdoor survival and education, where she emphasizes not only essential skills but also the importance of cultivating a meaningful relationship with the natural world. Courtnie's background in marketing, photography, and event coordination allows her to design thoughtful, engaging experiences and capture the beauty of the outdoors in ways that resonate deeply with families and communities.
At Six Point Survival, Courtnie integrates practical survival techniques, herbal wisdom, mindfulness, and creative expression into programming that supports confidence, self-reliance, and personal growth. She also leads and develops offerings centered on homesteading, wilderness skills, and foraging, with plans to expand into deeper herbal education and, one day, open a local apothecary featuring handcrafted teas, tinctures, and plant-based preparations.
When she's not working, Courtnie enjoys brewing kombucha, creating sourdough, tending her garden, and raising chickens. Beach days are a cherished family ritual, as is drawing and creating with her daughter, simple practices that reflect her commitment to a balanced, grounded lifestyle that mirrors both her personal values and her work at Six Point Survival.
